Endure

Rev. Dustin Midkiff posted this last week, and I asked if I could share it here. It’s a great message and well worth the read.  I hope it blesses you as much as it did me.  Bro. Dustin is an eloquent speaker and true man of God, I’m honored to be his friend and blessed to call him nephew.

Endure,

“I just don’t understand!” I had lost count of how many times I had said that to myself or to God in prayer in the last few months. As anyone who has lived through a struggle can attest, it can be very demoralizing. It feels like wandering around a dark room feeling for a light switch only to discover that the switch isn’t located where you remember it anymore.

Sure, there were moments of hope…one more straw to grasp, but they all seemed to lead to dead ends. So, you start over. You feel your way through the darkness and seeming vast empty space around you looking for something solid to grip. Eventually you come back to prayer…it only makes sense. Trust the things you can’t see to the One who sees everything.

So, once again I approached the throne. “God I don’t understand. I thought this would be the way out. Why am I still in the dark with no obvious answers?” The answer came through, and I’m still a little surprised by how much it comforts me. “When did I tell you that you would understand? I only said to endure.” So this is me still in the dark with no obvious answers, but I rejoice because even though I don’t have an answer I still have a word. Endure!

Matthew 10:22 “…he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”

Be Blessed Today,

Bro. Dustin

I'm a Husband, Father, Pawpaw and Pastor. I love spending time with my grand-buddies. A minister since 1988, I have been blessed to work in several churches around the U.S and currently am blessed to pastor an Awesome Church. I've also had the pleasure of ministering in faraway places while traveling for work. Some of my greatest honors have been the relationships I gained with several of the modern-day Heros of the Faith, the ministering families all around the world. Several years ago I started working with leather as a means to fight boredom while working in remote areas. It swiftly became a passion that I want to share as well. My plan is to keep spreading God's Love through the written and preached word, through walking the walk, and to keep making cool stuff along the way. Check that out at whisper_n_jack on Instagram
